MC8775 PCI Express Mini Card embedded module from Sierra Wireless offers connectivity to all three HSDPA/UMTS frequency bands (850, 1900, 2100 MHz) and all four EDGE/GPRS bands (850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz) used worldwide, allowing seamless global roaming on a good network.
The tri-band MC8775 PCI Express Mini Card, built using the MSM6280 Mobile Station Modem chipset from QUALCOMM offers peak download data rates of 3.6 Mbps.
The module is approved by Telstra (and in final testing with other 3G operators)

Both modules are compatible with EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks on all four GSM frequency bands (850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz), for use in areas where a WCDMA network is not available.
